Gelen appliceras en gång om dagen under tre dagar i följd. Inför behandlingen skall klövarna rengöras och all död hud eller hornämne bör trimmas bort.
Smörj in klöven noggrant med gel och låt djuret stå på rent och torrt underlag i minst fem minuter.
Ingen karenstid, innehåller inga toxiska ämnen och är ej frätande.

Melvin keeps a flock of 450 Mule ewes at Thorpe Farm in North Yorkshire. Breeding females are put to the Texel tup, with lambs either sold as stores or finished, depending on market conditions.
Having tried Footrite on around a dozen sheep that were suffering from scald, Melvin comments that he found the product highly effective. Lambs that had been noticeably lame were walking normally, within just a few days of application.
“Footrite worked well on my sheep,” he says. “I found it very useful for treating mild cases of scald, although I will continue to use antibiotics for severely affected animals. I would have no hesitation in using it again.”
